Hihats part 2: EQ & processing essentials

In last week’s video we looked at strategies for programming hihat lines in dance music, and this week we look at the technical treatment of those hihats! We learn some equalisation basics (notching resonances & achieving tonal balance), some reverb techniques (adding reverb without muddiness), and some volume shaping (subtle LFO pumping). All together these techniques should ensure that your hihats gel perfectly with your track, and should give you full control over their design!
