Create movement with rhythmic modulation

When your elements lack movement or have a bit of a boring timbre, realise that you can use an essential tool in electronic music: rhythmic modulation!

The idea here is that we spice up otherwise static elements with a rhythmic dimension, but instead of playing new notes, we modulate some parameters (like filter cutoffs) with a rhythmic modulator like Ableton Live’s Shaper device, or Reason’s Matrix sequencer.
