Bluffmunkey’s back with a quick video looking at how we can use Audio Rate Modulation in our sound design.

First we check out what Audio Rate Modulation actually is before using it to modulate different parameters such as pitch and filters in our synth. The result can produce a ‘gritty’ and ‘rough’ edge to our sounds and can be fine tuned using depth, rate and amount. A simple and straight forward sound design hack, and once you add some effects into the mix, you get some really useful sounds that can cut through the mix and used in all types of genres.
